• Eagles are most active from dawn until about 10am, and again just before dusk.
• Birds often perch in moss-draped maples close to the bridge, so a shorter telephoto can work here.
• With so little parking, arrive early on winter weekends.

Access

Parking

The river access parking area at 5585 Mosquito Lake Road is closed because of riverbank erosion. Parking nearby is very limited; Deming Homestead Eagle Park, about 2 km west, has a lot.

Trails

No trail. Views of the river and its trees from the bridge and the road shoulder.

Restrictions

• Day use only, 8am to dusk.
• Don't park in the closed lot or block the road; traffic crosses the bridge.
• WDFW asks viewers to stay at pull-offs and viewpoints and not walk the riverbank, which flushes feeding eagles.

Before you go

• Lens: 400–600mm. Pack spare batteries; cold drains them fast.
• Review the access restrictions above and any posted closures.
• Check the weather and, on the shoreline, the tide forecast.
• Keep a respectful distance. If an animal changes its behavior, you're too close.
