Parking

Parking at Howard Miller Steelhead Park in Rockport.

Trails

Short riverside walks from the park; pullouts along Highway 20 between Rockport and Marblemount.

Restrictions

• Stay off gravel bars where eagles are feeding.
• Parts of the Skagit River Bald Eagle Natural Area close in winter to protect feeding eagles.
• Only use designated pullouts along Highway 20.

Before you go

• Lens: 500–800mm. Pack spare batteries; cold drains them fast.
• Review the access restrictions above and any posted closures.
• Check the weather and, on the shoreline, the tide forecast.
• Keep a respectful distance. If an animal changes its behavior, you're too close.
